Where have you been?

It has been a while since my last post.  If you have been following this blog wondering how my training is coming along, perhaps you have been thinking that my IT issues have gotten the best of me.  To be honest, it wasn’t looking good and I had to stop running for nearly 2 weeks.

The break made me realize that it is Okay to give your body a break. That doesn’t mean it is time to sit on the couch and chow down on chips.  If, and when your body needs a break, find something else to do that will continue to help build strength and endurance.  So I went to the pool.  There is nothing like waking up at 5:50 am to go swim laps {do you sense the sarcasm?}.

That aside, I am back out training and it seems that the winter just doesn’t want to leave us.  During my shift at the Running Room last night (April 24, 2013),  I looked outside and my jaw dropped: SNOW!!  Are you kidding me?  Well at least the forecast looks good?

I am hoping for nice weather cause this weekend is the Pick Your Poison race.  The fun will be to do a trail run without having been on any trails this year (#ThumbsDown).  So fingers are crossed.
